    Hi Folks,

I picked up two of these a few weeks back, but they didn't last long enough to post here. The prices vary a bit on the argos store, I got them for a bit less than they are currently, but the price is back less than the apple store, so I'm posting it now.

Argos outlet on ebay have ipod nanos (refurbished) for £78, a couple of colours - you'll need to use parcel motel as they only ship to the UK - the total cost comes out at slightly less than €100.

The link below is to a silver one - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/APPLE-IPOD-NANO-16GB-SILVER-/330998676399?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_PortableAudio_MP3Players&hash=item4d110efbaf

    They're €109 from apple directly - http://store.apple.com/ie/browse/home/specialdeals/ipod

    Cheers,

    Paddy

    What's the story on Refurbished?

Don't know for sure - I bought two (Christmas presies for my kids - sorry, I am that sad). They look like the outer packaging was opened, but the inner plastic on the iPods is intact, so I'm guessing they where shop display. Argos have such a generous returns policy, you could get a returned item, but again they are giving you a 1 year warrantee which is all you'd get from apple.

Refurbs from apple themselves are much more likely to be units that failed during production or for customer shortly after purchase, where the have repaired them - but even with that it should be all new parts - I know when I checked before they specified that the outer shell was always new.

    Hope this helps

    Paddy
