Transferring money from UK to Ireland

I hope this isn't a duplicate - I had a look with the search. I'm in the process of selling my late father's house in the UK. I was wondering if there is a "good" way for me to transfer my share of the proceeds back over here? I'm assuming the money will be in the solicitor's account, after the sale. I'd like to avoid…
