Since the Chinese are so hyper about food contamination do folks think this might trickle down to help Irish products in the Chinese market..

I was talking to a local lad that works in a baby formula plant in Cootehill, he was saying that shelf space is hard to gain and easy to loose. The way people habitually buy the same formula for children, if you loose custom through scandel it could be a generation before you gain shelf space again..

Having visited China, things like this never make it to the public. TV and internet is highly monitored. If you are lucky to have a foreign news channel, as soon as they mention China "you have lost signal". All foreign news outlets are blocked. All supermarkets I visited sold Swiss milk and German milk.

I think the Irish dairies should focus on the successful of Kerry Gold in places like the Middle east. There is hundreds of millions of very wealthy consumers, who a lot know what Kerry gold is. Try to sell the milk as a sister product of Kerry gold. I think all the Dairy Co-ops need to come together to develop a single brand for it to be a success.
