Hi im living in a ground floor apartment of a three storey apartment block. I can hear neighbours moving about etc and to the best of my knowledge there is no insulation between each floor apart from this being a complete pain in the arse does it comply with building regulations under fire safety?

    When was it built?
What are the floors made from?
ie suspend timber floor or concrete floors.

FFIW, most common insulation materials in the floor would do almost nothing to prevent fire crossing.
Even a fire proof material would do little if the structure supporting it isn't fire proofed.
In this situation, the fire protection comes from the correct plasterboard lasting long enough to give you time to get out.

As far as I know apartments were built in 2005 there is suspended floors seperating levels which consist of joists chipboard and plasterboard with no insulation wondering if I have a case to sue or not?

    See a solicitor.

That was obviously the reason for your query and we dont allow debate on the legal stuff here so Im closing this thread.
