Bought a new macbook air and set it up yesterday, downloaded utorrent but whenever I had a torrent downloading my regular internet browsing just stopped working even though the wifi was working perfectly as the torrent was being downloaded. Never had this problem before, any ideas?

Did you try limiting uTorrent's bandwidth?

Oh and use Transmission instead. uTorrent was still crap the last time I checked.

Yep tried limiting the bandwidth and gave transmission a go today but still having the same problem, internet browsing slows down completely when a torrent is downloading. Anymore ideas on what could be causing this

I have not heard of this 'Transmission'. I shall give it a go.
