Would 80 euro be enough for a 5 day holiday to eat a 2 or 3 course meal with a glass of wine every night?

Even for one person dining alone I would think you would need to up your budget somewhat.

if youre self catering you could cook at home and you'd be grand on that amount of cash .

That works out at €16 per night, there is no way you'd get get one, or two two or three course meals for that price.

It'd be about €25 maybe more for one person for a three course meal.

As another poster said, if you are self catering you could do it on that budget by cooking at home every day.

Was there lately. There is a lot of crappy looking resturants there, what kind of food are you hoping to eat?

Do yourself a favour and take a trip to Alvor for dinner some night. It's far less tacky and there are some great places to eat there.

You could maybe just about manage if you opt for the cheaper dishes on menus but I would definitely up the budget a tad especially if you're going to be ordering wine. You'll find restaurants of fairly high standard with good deals like 3 courses for €15 (something small for starter like garlic bread or soup) but like I said, increase the budget a bit if the wine is a must!

hi there, there are some cheap tourist menus about...they are off the main square in the old town and away from the strip in the new town

we mix and match our meals while dining out in albufeira. the cheapest meal we found is a 3 course meal with a glass of wine for €7.50....

    here's the trip advisor link

If you like chinese food you might just about manage it,if you settle for your glass of wine back in your apt you will but keep to the side streets.
