One Door Locked

    Hi all,

One of the rear passenger doors on my golf mk 5 has started acting up.
Whenever I unlock the car with the remote fob all the doosr unlock as normal except one of the rear passengers.

I have to open the front passenger and reach in around to the internal door handle to pull it.

Any ideas what might be causing this.

The motor in the door that locks the door?

Had similar problem with same car few months ago... Except the problem was with passenger's door. Better to get it fixed sooner rather than later as mine ended up permanently locked. Dealer had to use 'shock tactics' to get it open again. Door locks seem to be problematic in the mk5.

It's the door lock control module. Replace it soon - if it fails completely they have to cut through the outer door skin to get at it, so you need a new door skin & painting.

That one door isn't locking at all now. Can't be opened from the outside with all the others locked.

Can you hear the motor? Could be just a linkage loose.

Get it replaced asap, I had this issue on a Citroen, and picked up the part from a scrappy, problem solved

Can you remove the door car and see the motor and linkage. I had a similar problem before, motor was loose or linkage. Something simple.

I removed the inside panel. This bit looks ok.
