Changing account holder with Eircom...

Hello so my housemate is moving out in about 3 months and he doesn't need the Eircom account where he is moving and its in his name. E-Fibre has become available in the area but he doesn't want to opt in because it will probably be tied to a contract and he doesn't want his name on it no longer living here.

Do you know how easy/hard it is to transfer his account into my own name? Or would I be better off just to start my own account and use it in the apartment? Cheers and thanks.

You'd probably get a new customer offer if you start a new account,

I took over my fathers account. He just had to put the request in writing. Eircom accepted a scan of it sent by email.
