Septic Tank packed up!

Just looking for some advice and ideas.

I have a septic tank that has a perculation system.

Just had my main tank emptied three weeks ago. Today I checked the tank because I had water over flowing into my garden, the tank is full to the brim again!

I checked my pumps fuse box and it appears the alarm was turned off, switched it back on and the box is telling me I have a aeration pump failure.

Im guessing the tank filled up with water from all the heavy rainfall we had over the last few weeks.

My understanding is that the aeration pump blows air into the septic tank, but Im pretty sure this isnt my problem because for some reason the water isnt being sucked out of the main tank into the aeration tank and perculation tank.

Im guessing that I will have to replace the aeration pump as that is showing as failed, but does anyone know why the water isnt being taken from the main septic tank? Sounds like another pump to me but I cant be sure.

    Its a Septec 2000.

Thanks in advance for any help.

It's always better to get a professional to visit your site.

However, It may be that your percolation area is blocked. The tank is filling up because the percolation is not working.

    1. Look for very wet grass around percolation area.
    2. Check access chambers for blockages.
    3. IF percolation area blocked access chambers will be full
The recent heavy rain may have flooded percolation field.

Have you emptied your tank every year?

    Have you any photos?
