Hi all, I'm in the market for a new laptop. Have a few in mind but would also like to see what others suggest.

Budget: up to 1k but the cheaper the better

Intended use: software development, college work, internet, gaming (planet side 2 and lol mainly),

Mobility: not an issue, I'm a big strong lad.

Warranty: men bonus but I do my own repairs

What Operating System do you use? Windows / Linux.

    Other notes:
Resolution of 1920*1080 is a list for coding so that's mandatory.
SSD would be nice, or else something with at least two HDD bays.

Thanks, I'll fire ones I've found up soon.

Have a look at the new PCS Optimus V. Latest Haswell Core i7 processor, Nvidia GTX 765M graphics, full HD display and 2nd HDD bay. With 8 GB RAM and a 120 GB Kinston SSD it costs €1,032 (incl. OS, 3 yr basic warranty and delivery to Ireland). Or €930 if you order without operating system.
