Ok if like me you suffer from blisters on long runs, is it wise to let your feet harden from hours of pounding the hard ground up or should you treat your feet to a mini spa, moisturise ect and keep them supple!

I have been fitted for the "right" shoes, wear the anti blister socks,, but sometimes after a long run I get some blisters. It's such a niggily little problem that can be torture!!!!

I used to suffer a lot, particularly in areas prone to callouses. After A marathon I could have 8 or 9 blood blisters. Now I might get 1 or 2 blisters at most (touch wood/famous last words  ).

For many years, I've used a callous remover like this, to pare them down - best used after a bath/shower.

I also wear my running socks inside out - seams on outside, away from skin.

Before trying the callous blade, I tried things like vaseline, talcum powder etc on feet, with limited success.
