Tomorrow morning I start an 11 day fund raising event for the Irish Cancer Society and for Autism Action Ireland.

There are three of us partaking in the event (which seemed like a great idea around about a year ago...) and it's called Up and Over as we will be cycling up the length of the country (Mizen Head to Malin Head) and then running over the country (Galway to Dublin). Apologies if it looks slightly like a triathlon ;)

So Day 1 will see us starting in Portlaoise Leisure Centre at 5:00 am with a 7.6km swim (304 dizzifying lengths). We then head of down to West Cork to start the cycle.

Day 2 Mizen Head to Trallee
    Day 3 Tralee to Lisdoonvarna
    Day 4 Lisdoonvarna to Claremorris
    Day 5 Claremorris to Ballybofey
Day 6 Ballybofey to Malin Head - then we head back down to Galway ready for the running phase.

Day 7 Oranmore to outside Aughrim
    Day 8 Aughrim to Cloghan
    Day 9 Cloghan to Geashill
Day 10 Geashill to Curragh (We're also organising 7km, 10km, 1/2 and full marathons for the public that day)
    Day 11 Curragh to Dublin

Every time I write it down it scares me - Anyone who has met me will testify to the fact that I'm not built for running (or cycling or swimming) so it's going to be a struggle - but hopefully the funds we raise for the charities will make it all worth while!

If any one spots us (We'll be wearing Up and Over logo'd gear) feel free to shout encouragement at us (you can shout abuse if you like too!) - or if anyone is at a loose end at wants to join in for any part of the cycling drop me a PM and we'll gladly draft in behind you :) (you'll have to organise getting yourself there and back though!)
