KANGER TWIST T3

I've recently started and this is the device I'm using (as recommended on here) so I'm just wondering what other people think of it ?

I went for the larger batteries and I'm about to stock pile a shed load of liquid as I'm going travelling soon.

I noticed I can buy cartomizers and " heads " (the little bit where the "wick" is).

Can anybody suggest how long a head will last and if I should consider buying extra cartomizers ?

Or any other component for the T3 ?

ps, I'm delighted I've started as I do not miss the smokes and only wished I could have started 15 years ago when I first tried to stop smoking !

Heads last 3-7 days depending on heat, type of juice, amount of juice... The clearer and less sweet and less natural the juice, the longer heads will last.

Cartomisers are a separate device to the T3 (the Kanger T3 refers to the clearomiser, the eGo Twist is the battery). They're handy, tend not to leak and are fairly consistent but the flavour has a foamy twang to it because they're filled with foam to hold the juice.
Boges are best if you go that route, the 2ohm resistance for the Twist. You can buy tanks that fit around cartos, so you pierce a hole or two into the carto and the juice wicks into the foam, and there you have your constant feed of juice.

Bought a T3 and a protank to compare about 1 month ago. Lets just say the T3 has been used once, go for the protank.

    I've already bought the T3.

The heads are €2 a pop (I think) so are you suggesting €4 a week on heads alone ?

Agreed, over twice as expensive though.

I've a couple of protanks for a while now, but have recently invested in a couple of protank minis. Lovely for out and about.

I use a T3s and usually get through one head per week, that is vaping RY-4 type juices.

I suppose it depends on usage.

Are there noticeable signs that the head is going ?

Oh yes! You'll get a nasty burnt hit instead of lovely luscious vape and most likely it will leak too, out the end on to your battery, due to the liquid flooding through its (the heads) 'flavour wicks' (two little bits of silica wick on top of the main wick and coil unit).

All clearo's suffer a similar fate.

I've been using the T3 heads for the past few weeks on holidays. Must say they had lost their allure by the end of it. I brought plenty of spare heads, used good quality clear juice from Wingnut, and kept it topped up. Couple of duds, and they really start to lose their initial 'that's a good drag' quality after two or three days.

Is the T3S style better? Or is there an alternative to the T3 that offers the same convenience of being able to top up and see your usage, but with a better and more consistent vape?

Between this and some of the eGo batteries requiring on the road repairs I'm becoming disillusioned with the joytech kit in general.

Lorenzo - the T3s looks better for one thing as gone is the black chimney stack-alike of the T3, replaced by a clear mouthpiece though some will complain that 'condensation' (read spit) can be seen forming but hey, who's looking that closely at your device, right?!

They are also easier to rewick as the end post screws out of the head's base. The Protank and the Evod have this same assembly, again making rewicking a cinch.
Some people here are raving about the new iClear 16, so far so good anyway.

As for performance of the 3s: just that really the main improvements are as I've said, the actual puff of it is I would say only marginally better.
Do get into rewicking for yourself.

The workings of any clearo will lessen over the course of a few days, for sure and yeah, there are 'duds' but bear in mind that it's human assembly at the factory that's responsible, same as if you rewick one yourself and it doesn't work so good.

Rewicking is really the way to go - you can buy all the spare heads you can afford but what if, what IF (HORROR) you were down to your last one...and panic sets in...and it's the weekend....and you're home alone...and...and...and...a craving sets in, you'd be like 'where's that silica, I'm going to my shed to build me some man stuff!' but you have no silica and then you're either faced with a cold turkey or the prospect of buying 15, 'JUST' 15 John Player Blue to 'make it through'...enough already! I'm doing my worst Walt, Breaking Bad here to demonstrate the panic I'd feel without having 'spares for my spares'.

I'm a bit hysterical with insomnia, sorry! But you get the picture.

Also, I've got nothing but good to say about the mini vivi nova - you can even use your own drip tips AND get 'tubes' (covers) for them in every conceivable colour!
Same capacity as the T3 but smaller looking.

Is it regular Ego batteries you have or Twists?

    Phoooooowwwaaaarrrrrr

Yep. It's pretty obvious when a head is gone.

Glad I didn't re-place until they actually "went" but that taste is pretty horrid when they do go.

    Quick question,

When ordering replacement heads I noticed I have ordered 1.7-1.9ohms AND some 2.4-2.6ohms.

Does anybody know what the difference is ?

Lower resistance heads work better at lower voltages and higher at higher voltages, that's about the bones of it.
