Job searches, advice needed

Firstly I want to say that I had a look around as to where to place this and could not find a good place, if it does not belong please move the thread.

So I've been in college now for the last 4 years, went back as a mature student after being made redundant in 2008, and not been searching for a job at all.
Recently I started looking for a job and was using the old websites that I was using before but to be honest there does not seem to be much out there at the moment. Now I know that the economy is not the same but in fairness my area does not normally suffer during these time.

So the point, I was hoping that someone could let me know of any good websites to go looking, apart from the ones I have been using, which are:
    http://www.recruitireland.com/
    http://www.monster.ie/
    http://www.irishjobs.ie/
    http://www.jobs.ie/
    http://www.findajob.ie/

So, where else should I be looking?

Sounds about right to me..You will find that must jobs are repeated on these sites which can be annoying..I applied for same job last week on 3 different sites with 3 different job specs and got 3 calls about it from different recruitment agencies..

Probably better off posting this in the Jobs and work sub forum.

In AH you will get a 'sell your body' answer within the hour.

Followed shortly by some sort of "your ma" joke. Not sure how it would tie in here, but then again I'm not a hard-core AH-er, someone is bound to make the connection for me

There's a job vacancies thread over in the work & jobs forum and I'm not sure if there is but there might be a job vacancies thread in the Dublin forum too.

I use the Intreo (formerly Fás) website too, just filter out the internships and CE Schemes first. Best of luck in your job search :)

Careerjet.ie is basically like a search engine for most Irish job sites.

    As per the above.
Work and jobs forum is yer best bet for serious answers.

Is there a sector you are looking at?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

www.LinkedIn.com is the obvious one missing from your list.

It works a bit differently: you complete your profile, and come up in search results of recruiters who are looking. So ... do a good profile.

Also, figure out what companies you would like to work for, then search for the on LinkedIn and see who you know, or have a contact with, who works there. "Reach out" (yech .. I hate that term) .. ie message them and ask for any leads or introductions they can give you .

If you are changing industries, you probably don't have many contacts yet in the one you want to work in. Try adding university contacts you have, or even others from your previous jobs ... you never know who will know someone useful.

Indeed.ie is great for throwing up links to vacancies on employer websites, avoiding recruitment agencies.

But I've found that Irishjobs.ie isn't bad at all if you thoroughly search through it. I got two interviews this year from jobs advertised there directly by the employer.
