Is this a new phenomenon? I was driving through Limerick today when a nice shiny van pulled up beside me at the lights blaring out some of the most god awful noise that I have ever heard in my life. Its vested occupants were bopping away like they were sitting on jackhammers.

Travellers driving a transit and listening to crap music? Hardly a shock in Limerick now is it?

Well, I wouldn't be a native so I wouldn't know. It wasn't rap as we know it, it was traveller rap.

Why are you assuming they were Travellers?

Calculated guess I'd say - vest wearing, shiny ford transit, making a scene.

    I'm confused too!

A lot of people do this regardless of background, sometimes you can hear the music before you even see the car.

It seems to me that somehow this happened.
A motor company designed a Van for the transportation of goods.

Elsewhere and meanwhile a group of people got together and produced a music album.

Said van was purchased and said music was also purchased.

The person who drove the van turned up the volume on his new stereo and reinacted a dance routine prompting other road users to observe.

    I could be wrong.

I can't see the problem. I often belt Celine Dion out of my Vivaro at full whack, no one has ever been harmed.

I have an image in my head of Celine Dion flying out the back of the van after you belting her.

Ha, if I had Celine in the back of the van I wouldn't be throwing her out of it. :D

Yes, it's a new phenomenon. Those vans would not be described as "nice" up to now.
