[Cancelled] The Leisure Loop Charity Cycle 24, 63 and 113km routes - 8th September

The Leisure Loop is an annual cycle organised by Leisure Cycling Ireland, and The Tadhg Ó Fainín Foundation.

Each year the proceeds from the cycle go to purchasing Strider bikes for organisations that work with young children that have special needs. This year the bikes will go to The Shine Centre for Autism.

Last year was leisure cycling Ireland's first sportive and the money raised went to purchase Strider balance bikes for St Michaels house.

This year's Leisure Loop will again be starting at Trim GAA on 8th September.
There are 3 routes 24km, 63 km and 113km. Info below

Thanks to Aura Trim Leisure Centre we have day passes for anyone who registers online for this year's The Leisure Loop Charity Cycle. We also have a free membership for one lucky winner, so Register before Tuesday 3rd at 12 midnight when online registration closes

Online registration will close on Tuesday 3rd at 12 midnight so please register as soon as possible. We will accept registrations on the day but there will be an extra charge €4 on the day. This is to facilitate caterers so they can provide the best service possible.

The Leisure Loop Charity Cycle



It is with great regret that we must cancel the event for this year. The type of event we are trying to create requires a massive effort from about 20 volunteers and incurs significant cost. To achieve this we must have a large number of cyclists. Based on the registrations to date it is clear we will not make this number and as such we cannot go ahead with the event. Everybody that has registered will receive a full refund, but please give us a few days as this may take some time to do. If you have any queries please email us at admin@leisurecycling.ie

If anybody is now spin-less on that day the Joe Loughman Randonee is running out of Bray on the same day - http://www.braycancersupport.ie/?tribe_events=joe-loughman-randonnee-cycle

50k and 105k routes.

I've no association with it, nor ever done it so can't personally vouch for it but I'm doing it this Sunday.

I'd swear I saw some other randonee advertised for the same day too but can't remember the name? A very unfortunate scheduling clash if there were three for the same day
