I see that UPC offer HD as part of their Horizon package and its only €6 a month for multiroom, hopefully this puts pressure on Sky to drop the ridiculous HD charge and lower the €15 a month for multiroom.

Yeah but do you remember when they introduced sky plus recording. Used to charge for that as well for a period. When 3d came out I was hopeful that HD would become the "standard" technology and be free of charge. Sadly this has not been the case.

Until their hand is forced they offer very little. That's the problem with a monopoly.

The market currently pays them for it so it would be incredibly foolish of them to lower the price

You have to remember, UPC haven't really dropped the HD charge, more like made it compulsory for everyone that takes Horizon to pay it.

Digital Max:€37.50, Horizon Max, €42. See what I meant?

This isn't really the place to talk about UPC of course, and doesn't justify Sky's ridiculous charge for multiroom.
