Got myself a numatic George as the wife wanted to get the carpets cleaned in the house so talked her into buying one as it would cost what we paid for it to get someone in and also we can do the car.
So any tips for it,whats the best cleaning solution to get for it for car seats and carpet.

    Good auld George!!

Generally, I'll give the seats/carpets a good scrub with some CG's Fabric Clean or APC....spray on, agitate with a nail brush or similar, and then use the George with a mild Fabric Clean mixture to soak up the moisture.

It wont get all the moisture out, so grab a few de-humidifier bags from the likes of Home Store & More, and throw them into the footwells and onto the seats....will help speed up the drying process...they're reasonably enough!

Not sure about the carpets in the house though.....especially if they are light in colour...if they were dark, Id use the Fabric Clean! :)

I have the Numatic CTT470 - it's just a bigger version of the George from what I can see.
Brilliant for car interiors - couldn't live without it now tbh.

You can actually use the Rug Doctor shampoo on the car interior without any issues if you want.

You really can't beat these spray extraction machines for deep cleaning car upholstery and carpets!

This is what i did. First i went a bit over board and took every seat out. Hoovered ,mixed some Apc from aldi up with some warm water and scrubbed everything. Then mixed up some rug doctor upholstery cleaner that came with it and georged all the seats ,carpet, headliner etc.

Do you mind me asking how much George was, need to get one myself, was thinking of getting George or a vax 6131T, need it for doing a few little jobs around the house but mainly for the car.

Got this one http://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products/Product.asp?ID=3325 it is the green one though not red and went for this one as i mentioned getting it to a few neighbours and they wanted to go in on it so worked out a €90 between 3 of us so better that paying €200 on my own. Is well worth the money,i had the vax one a few years ago and wasn't great.

    Size matters!
No seriously, it's handy when you can finish out a car without having to stop and empty the soiled water tank or refill the detergent tank.

Mine came in at a total of €323 delivered to my door from chemiclean.co.uk - at the time I did a lot of research and they were the cheapest for Numatic gear.
They're doing the George in the OP's post for €213ish atm,and you'd have to add about €16 afair for delivery.

I bought a Vax 020-T a couple of years ago, as I wanted my interior done, but seen it on offer in Tesco for €99 and I reckoned an interior valet would probably be €50 so I just got the Vax and did it myself and have the machine for whenever I need it.

For the car I used the Vax carpet shampoo that came with it. Recently I dont the carpets in my flat, wanting to save the good Vax stuff for the car, I used a combination of Aldi APC and Aldi Almat Colour liquid detergent [washing machine detergent], and the carpets came out nice and fresh. They werent overly bad or anything so not a massive before and after, but i wanted to freshen them up and it lifted plenty of ground in dirt because the waste water was pretty dirty.

@ Randy Hickey, the larger machine looks good. Especially if doing carpets in the house, as I even in my flat had to fill the small tank 3 or 4 times and empty the waste water twice and it slows you down. Although your machine looks a bit impersonal without a face like the other Numatic range!

Just be careful George doesn't fall in with the wrong crowd like Henry here and go off the rails altogether
