im looking to travel to belfast tomorrow for a gig , i originally planned to travel by aircoach but i went to book the ticket tonight and it says that bookings have to be made by 5 o clock prior to your departure so im to late. i tried to book it on bus eirean but there is no option for belfast ?

can someone tell me if i can book a return ticket at bus eireann tomorrow before getting on the bus ?? also do bus eirean do 24 hour commutes?

this is my first time travelling by bus at all so please forgive me lol :D

You don't need to book in advance to travel with Aircoach or Bus Eireann.

Booking online is normally cheaper and means you are sure of a seat no matter how busy the service is, but you can still buy your tickets on the day subject to the coaches not being full and at a slightly higher price.

You don't have to, no, you can just buy on board.

I can't find the prices on the Bus Eireann site, there is another site you can use that can find this information out but I can't recall it.

But the Aircoach walk up prices are here

Where are you travelling from to Belfast? If you are travelling from Dublin you have 3 options, Bus Eireann, Aircoach and the train. Although the train will probably cost considerably more than the first 2.

Aircoach is 24euro return. I can´t find a fare for bus eireann but I would say it is something similar.

If traveling from Busaras, you'll need to buy your ticket at the ticket office before boarding the bus.

I don't know why this is the case considering drivers accept payments at intermediate stops but its handy to know in case you queue up to get on a bus only to be told by the driver to go back inside to the office to buy your ticket.

Belfast bus station is the same and they are very strict about it.
