    The closing date for the Into the West Cycle is 31st August. Very well organised event and great way to round of the season with a super weekend cycle. See www.nbcri.ie for online entry and Facebook page for details.

    Great event but haven't done it in a number of years due to the fact that that you have to raise a minimum of € 260 to take part. It is a very worthwhile charity and your accomodation/meals are taken care off but its a lot of money and you cannot keep asking the same people for sponsorship for cycling events each year.

    Looking forward to this next weekend 10/11 yrs since I last did it. No motorway then so traffic in Moate Ballinasloe was a bit hairy

    Good event well organised marshalled etc.
    Was a slog to Galway yesterday in the wind and rain but great spin back today.
    Would recommend it

    Very enjoyable two days found yesterday very easy but went of ahead of the field this morning with 2 cork men who wanted to be back in Mullingar for the match and 2 shannonsiders and the 5 of us pushed a serious pace all the way ended up with an average of 34 kph Moving time of 4 h 6 mins and 19 sec and total time including supermacs in Bsloe of 4 h 55 min 46 sec
