Got a duster in July . Heater cable fault short time later. Very disappointed .. New car. Dealer not keeping in touch .. Not replying to email enquiry re same ... Rang and told .. Some one from dealer was on to some one in uk who was on to some one else re getting cable ... That's it. Hopefully it will come some time...

I am very annoyed at this ... Is this acceptable after forking out over 17.500 k .... So it seems ... That's it ... I wait and wait and sure it might arrive some time ..

Has anyone ever experienced similar ?

Seeking advice in this regard ...

    Paddy

    Useful post

Paddy what exactly has the issue been with the dealer. What have they done and what have they suggested?

Have you tried to contact Dacia Ireland?

A heater cable doesn't sound like a massive issue but an annoying one all the same.

When did you first report the problem?

I'm told there is no cable in this country ?! Ps highly recommend them ... Fab in every other way bar this ! How to contact dacia ireland ??? Only see dealer ship details on site ... Not much use .. My contract is with seller anyway !

If I were you I'd put a nice post on the Dacia Ireland facebook page. I know it's petty but I've seen issues being solved quickly that way

Dacia are having trouble eh... finding the clutch, so to speak, in Ireland. Theyre trying to integrate their parts network into Renaults I think. A few have had minor, easily fixed issues. Things like connectors not pushed in enough. Is it possible that the cable is fine but the end of it has just come off the hot air flap?

It might not have been the heater that needed the attention.

Ah. No worries, Itll be time before they get up and running fully, The logistics for a Brand new company (Granted they were here around the seventies iirc) setting up and trying to cover all of Ireland are difficult Id say. And then theres the rather annoying habit our neighbours have of snatching parts as they make their way across the UK to give them to priority dealerships. The amount of times weve had parts go on back-order  At any rate your current wait is unacceptable. I would perhaps PM the Facebook profile owner and if no response is given, a public question might be in order.

Yeah don't ask Dacia to honour a warranty on a VW.
