ACCA Course Fees ?

What is the standard agreement for people doing ACCA exams?

I sat two and passed two in the recent sitting and this is what my agreement was.....
Company paid full course fees upfront (my half was an advance)
I then paid 6 installments back through my wages to repay my half back
Then when I passed the two exams I received my half back from the company
    Very complicated I know!

This time around though they are giving me half upfront that I must repay back through my wages within 3 months.
Then on successful passing I will get the full college fees back

(I pay all my subs, exam fees myself with no reimbursement)

Anyone think this is a good / bad deal for me?

My company paid all course fees, exam fees and subs upfront. We didn't have to pay back anything if we failed but had to pay for our own repeats.

My previous employer refunded my course fees if I passed the exams. But I had to pay the sub and exam fees myself. But I got a pay rise once I passed each exam. It's one way to keep you motivated to pass the exams I suppose! If you failed you were royally screwed! They did tell me this was their approach at the interview stage when I enquired about their "study package"!

I have to pay for my exam fees upfront and I can then reclaim them once I have my exam reults, pass or fail. I dont get refunded for repeats though.
