    Hey all,

    I recently took up cycling and I have become addicted! I am doing about 35km worth of commuting per day and trying to do 1X40km cycle per weekend. Ive only been at it a few weeks now but really enjoying it.

    I always perform better if I set myself goals - anybody got any ideas of events towards the end of the year that might suit me?

    its the end of the road season now, theres cyclocross starting soon but thats a new bike purchase. others will chime in on any sportives that might be left

    best thing to do would be to find a group/club to ride with and prepare for next year

    OP are you looking to race or for organised sportives?

    Where are you based?

    There are sportives over most weekends in various parts of the country for quite a few more weeks yet

    Thanks for the feedback guys - I'm really just looking for Sportives or even a club (based out the Clonee direction). I just want to get out and about on the bike. I'm fairly new to cycling so races aren't my cup of tea just yet!

    cyclist meet at the Grasshopper in Clonee most Saturdays and Sunday mornings. I normally go out with a crowd from Ratoath
    :)
