...over next two weekends? Have family get together next weekend in Wexford, stag in Dungarvan weekend after.

If there was a site (spoiled here in Kerry by the Running in Munster site which has a fanstastic calendar and which should cover the Waterford weekend anyway) setting out what's on that would be great. Or if anyone knows anything in the 10km/10 miles/half marathon area down around there that might be great too. Thanks in advance.

Corkrunning also has a Running in Leinster site. Not sure if it's fully up to date. August/September look pretty empty.

In Waterford City, there is a 5 mile road race on Friday 30th Aug - Genzyme Road Race. It starts at 7.00pm. Entries from www.runireland.com some more info on their facebook page below.

There is a half and 10k on this weekend, just outside Wexford town. For the following weekend, the Mick Murphy 4 Mile in Ferns is a good event, but is possibly a bit too short for you.

Great, thanks for the pointers. The 10km in Foulkesmills at €15 this Saturday looks on alright, suspect events Saturday night will leave me a little tender for a Sunday run in Oylegate. As for the weekend in Dungarvan, might leave the running and head up the Comeraghs or Knockmealdowns.

For any news of upcoming races in Wexford, the best websites to check out are:

    www.sbrclub.com

    www.slaneyolympic.com

    www.kilmoreathletics.com

    Hope this helps :)

The only info I can get on the Foulkesmills 10km is on the Active.com website, no reference to registration anywhere, presume I can just turn up and pay beforehand - no chips and surely the "fun" bit means they don't expect everyone to have prepaid online.

Great run in Foulkesmills. Finished 2nd so my first top 3 finish! Lovely day for it, nicely organised with 3 or 4 water stations, nice route though judging by my time not sure it was full 10km. Plenty of food after. Not so intense - as should be obvious from my placing! - they should advertise it more and presumably move it away from the Oylegate run weekend. But one of those real feel good whole community involved ones, lots of marshalls along the way, an army serving up the food etc.

Hope they do it again, would head back...I have a reputation to defend now!
