I'm living in Dublin 7 and want to join a cycling club this winter/next spring. I work every saturday and most clubs seem to do their cycling on a saturday. Im 30, male, have done a few Ring of Kerrys and other spotives. Never raced and racing wouldn't be a priority. Any suggestions?

Orwell do their winter spins on Sundays. Mostly from Dundrum but now and then also from the Phoenix park.

I'm in D7 as well and am in the same boat as you. I have looked at Blanch Wheelies as they set off most Sundays from Strawberry beds at around 10 which is ideal. They don't have a race league though, which is not ideal.

I had headed out with Orwell Wheelers (Dundrum)a few times last year, but they head off a 9am on a Sunday and it's that bit too far away that early on a Sunday. They do go from the Phoenix park some times, but it was very irregular and it was generally the fastest group (A1/ A2 guys)

Sure, if you ever fancy some company between now and then, drop me a pm seem as we are so close.

Lucan have Sunday spins at 10am. Generally it's an intermediate/advanced group, but pace is usually fairly steady.

Sounds like "Dublin 7 Wheelers" in the making

Dublin Wheelers have a number of spins which head out from Santry on Saturday mornings, catering for all levels of ability.

Clontarf Cycling Club go at 9.00am from the GAA Club on Seafield Road on a Sunday, all levels. Really nice bunch. Also they do a social cycle on Thursdays at 7.00pm to Howth and back.

I'm living in Phibsborough, so another potential founder of the D7 Dynamos© reporting for duty. ;)

I might check out the Clontaf club, as they seem pretty close.
