the wife has announced she wants another baby and then i'll be allowed get the snip! Apart from contemplating another year of hormones, been blamed for everything and been screamed at for breathing too loudly, she reckons we need a new car to completely put us in the poor house.

She may have a point however, my current car just wont fit everything in. So i'm looking for a recommendation for a reasonably priced car that has two isfix bases and room in the middle fro a ten year old to sit comfortably. A big boot for the buggy as well would be good.

i'm off to ring the svp

I'd say the current model Skoda Superb (2008-) is the car to get. Massive room in the back combined with a huge boot for all of the buggies. It all depends on what your budget is though.

Any MPV- Scenic, Picasso, Zafira, S-Max, Galaxy, Touran, 5008 etc.

I was going to start on a massive rant about the first paragraph of the OP and male rights in these things but then I realised it's not PI :o :P

What budget and what are you driving now OP? Any thoughts on what you like the look of?

Volvo V70. All the car you will ever need.

It's the only car I can think of that has an actual middle seat, rather than a half seat in the middle. No armrest, so fairly comfortable as well.

And did you say big boot for the buggy - yep, that's there as well.

As useless says, any MPV will do the job, it's what they are made for.

But if you want an actual car, the 307 estate is about the only one with three separate seats in the rear, instead of a bench seat made for two adults.

As said go MPV. It'll have room to grow.
But if you still want something resembling a car go v70.
