    Dear all,

thanks to an honest gentleman, i discovered to have a Masi bike in my basement.

the bike was bought in Florence in the 80s by my uncle, a semi-pro. It was gave to me years ago and i have used very little as i am not in cycling at all and till last Friday i was ignoring what a Masi is. (shame on me but this is the truth).

After a weekend of reasearch on Internet, i discovered that my old bike is a Masi, bought in 1985 (this is the almost un-readable year reported below the M) in Florence (my hometown) from the Poggiali shop (decal on the bike). Briefly the bike is equipped with Campagnolo Super Record group and Campagnolo high flange hubs. It has pantographed "Alberto Masi" shift levers, stem and seat post. San Marco Rolls Titanio saddle. 3ttt Super Leggero handlebar with cotton tape. wheels are Ambrosio with michelin tyres.

Measures are Toptube 54; Seattube 54; Chainstay 42.

The bike is in its original conditions which are NOT pristine but show the wear and tear of a bike 30 years old. Some rust/black marks in the front fork. Some dents on the frame and some rust on rear breaks. Front and rear derailleurs, cranckset and chains seems to be in good and better conditions.

On this basis, and the pictures attached, i have the following questions.

    - do you have any idea of the model of this MASI? a Prestige is my guess.

    - do you have any idea of the possible value of this bike?

    - While i haven't decidee yet wat to do with my bike, the bike clearly need to be serviced and restored to its original state. At least the closest possible. It needs urgently new tires. Do you have some suggestion on which is the best shop for doing the service and where it will be possible to find parts that are close to the original?

Thanking you in advance for your answers, feedback and suggestions.
    Best regards
    Maximilian.

PS: i have additional pictures that may be helpful for identifying the model. just drop me a line as i was able to attach just five pics here.
