Aerospace in CW to Aeronautical in UL

I'm in a picky situation now. Got my offer this morning to do Aerospace Engineering in Carlow IT. I had Aeronautical Engineering, Choice and Mechanical Engineering as my top three choices and because I failed French and Links isn't counted as a subject I was only down to 5 subjects which made me ineligible to go to UL in Round 1 or 2.

I'm just after looking at the course in Carlow and realised that it's more of a hands on course compared to UL's course and course structure is different to it too. I was wondering is it possible to transfer from Carlow to UL at the end of Year 1?

    Links to Carlow's course http://www.itcarlow.ie/study-at-itc/engineering/electronic-mechanical-and-aerospace-engineering/cw568.htm
    UL's http://www3.ul.ie/courses/AeronauticalEngineering.php

    Thanks in advance

    Hey,

I just finished Aero in UL.

In third year two guys came from Carlow IT so its definitely possible but its worth emailing Michael.McCarthy@ul.ie if you haven't already.

The hands on aspect proved beneficial for these guys as in 4th year in UL we were required to build a model aircraft.

I believe that was from a Lvl 7 Aircraft Systems and they moved up to Aeronautical Engineering. Aerospace is only brand new and this year is the first year for the course.
