I don't think half of those sites deliver to Ireland and since they are outside of the eu you will be screwed by customs for the ones that do.

The site I linked has the best prices. You might get the odd cheaper item on Amazon or some of the other european ones.

Does the GTX 660 OC out perform the slightly cheaper Sapphire 7870 available on Pixmania at the moment?

The 7870 is the winner. At stock the 660 wins most benches I'd say, but the cooler on the 7870 is quite good, and it has more overclocking headroom.

As Gumbi said but the op said he isn't overclocking which is why I went with the 660.

I've heard overclocking is dangerous and can reduce the life of parts? should i be considering it?

It's safe as long as you stick within safe voltage limits. Good coolers keep the temps down.

You could take that fx6300 from 3.5ghz stock to 4.5ghz safely with a decent cooler like the cm 212 evo and maybe a slightly better board, the ASrock extreme3.

You could still get a reasonable overclock with the pro and a cheaper cooler or the stock cooler. Maybe 4ghz.

You can get overclocking guides and on youtube. Just find out what settings are safe for your parts. Voltage is the only one you have to be careful with.

The 7870 from pixmania is a good deal if you want to save €10. It will overclock pretty well too. It has a good cooler.

You could add this to the order with the current board you should be able to get around 4.2 - 4.4ghz.
