    Hi all,
The brakes are on the way out on my D3, discs are well worn and the pads are at least a year old (I've had it a year and haven't changed them). I was thinking of replacing the discs and pads myself and wondered if anyone had any brand or vendor recommendations.

I've done enough basic work on my motorbike but this is my first car, any model specific advice for this job would be welcome.

Plenty of parts specialists in the UK, I get stuff from Paddocks, LRSeries and Island-4x4. If you're in the midlands, Crozier 4x4 in Moate will sort you out.

They usually have a choice of pads and discs but I'd avoid Britpart, go for Mintex, Delphi, EBC and the like.
