Wholesale flat shoes for wedding

    Hi
My sister wants to provide a basket in the ladies' for her wedding with a selection of toiletries and essentials like plasters, rennies, lip gloss, deodorant etc and also some flat shoes for when the killer heels start killing. Does anyone know of a company that sells some sort of ballet pumps or flip flops or similar at a wholesale price? I seem to remember one of the guys on Dragons Den taking up an entrepreneur who had this idea but I cant recall if it was the Irish or Uk version of the show and not having any luck googling it. I did find a company called rollasole but theirs work out at over €6 each, I'm sure we could find cheaper in Penneys if it comes to it but just thought i'd try

Yeah we're going to take a run to Ballina see what they've got, Penneys in Sligo were sold out last week.
Flip flops, pumps, anything along those lines really

I see baskets of these nightly, youd think from on average 100 guests, 50 ladies might want to dance without their heels and put flats on but at most 10-20 pairs go, those "flip flop baskets" are always more than half full at the end of the night.
It looks to me that many have their own flats with them so dont go too mad on them.

At a recent wedding the flip flops were in peoples bags and all before the meal was even called.

that's what I found too. People love a freebie, and weddings I was at the fancy flip-flops were gone before the night even started.

At one wedding, someone who forgot their shoes at the event (bride rang around and dropped in to us trying to track down the cinderella) had the flip-flops with the ribbon still tying them together in the same paper bag as their shoes. It wasn't down to needing the flip-flops/flats, it was simply about grabbing a free pair...
I didn't take or intend to take any as I was staying at the hotel and brought my own flats. But seriously, the neck of some ppl rolleyes.png

PS: OP, hope you find what you're looking for, but all the brides I knew got theirs in Penneys.

Dealz have 2 for €1.49 on certain pairs of flipflops if there's a store near you ;)

I don't get this at all, for years women managed just fine at weddings without expecting free shoes or flip flops. If my shoes are uncomfortable (I generally stick with ones I can last all day and night in) I bring a nice pair of flats in the car or in my hotel room, nothing looks worse than crappy flip flops and red blistered feet with a pretty dress!

+1 on this. Surely most ppl will be staying, and will bring flats to change I to. I've only ever seen gaudy plastic flip flops in hotel bathrooms, and I wouldn't be bothered with them.
Pre Celtic tiger, everyone I knew would throw their shoes under the table she dance bare foot. I still do that. And I've never come to any harm!
