Just one of mine that I know of. It's odd when the birthday comes along. Kinda like a remembrance mass but you dont leave what youre doing.

How do you feel about it? Do you want your fb to remain when you die?

Two of mine are dead. Both males, both died by suicide. One in his 30's the other in his 50's.
I still have their phone numbers on my phone too.

One of my fb friends (and was a good friend irl too) passed on over a year ago. His account is still active. I live far away from home and actually found the fb page to be a comfort around the time he died, event though I don't have much time for fb day to day. Everyone was posting stuff, it was a kind of release to be able to say stuff to him that we never got a chance to say, and for me I had some kind of support from friends when I couldn't be there at the wake etc to share stories about him. Everyone was posting their old photos (pre-internet from when we were kids). Its a nice way to remember him on his birthday and anniversary. I think the page was a comfort to his mother to see how many people cared about him as he died tragically and alone.

I still have my nanas mobile number in my contacts she's dead just under two years.... The freaky thing was I found a missed call from it on my phone that never appeared as a notification couple months after she died!!

2 Guys that I know of.

1, as a result of an accident earlier this year. The other through suicide. Never really saw the need to unfriend them just because they're dead.

    2 of mine.
    :(
Always look back at their profiles from time to time to laugh at the photos..

It's probably because they've spent most of the past few years online rather that out in the real world with all it's dangers!

three of mine are deceased, one since 2010 and his page still exists. It;s a bit creepy when sugessted posts that he has liked pop up from time to time.

When my cousin died, I accidentally included him in a group text just out of habit.

A week later I got a real sobering reminder when I got a failed delivery report. :(

Still couldn't bring myself to delete his number.

One , I guess it seems kind of weird because we still tell "her" we miss her on there sometimes but her husband kept it open so it works!

Just checked my account, and six of my 'Facebook friends' are dead. One through SADS, three through suicide, one through a terminal illness and one from a car accident. All early 20s or younger. :(

I've one that I know of... Anyone know is it possible to report it to Facebook. I reckon their accounts should be closed down/removed after they pass.

The family can report them and keep them up as posthumous accounts. That's what my friend's mum did when she killed herself, and she updates it regularly with photos and stuff.

A few of them are dead on facebook but they're still posting on twitter.

When we were about to start the leaving cert the head priest had us in for a final assembly.
He gave his farewell speech and one of the things he said was that statistically it was likely that three of us would be dead within 5 years.
He was right, three had died within that time. A house fire and two car crashes.

But that was WAY before facebook.
