WP8 and blue tooth car kits

    With my iPhone it would announce the name of a caller if they were in my phone book.

    With my Ativ S it reads out the number. To confuse matters it will announce the name if I get a text.

    Why can it announce a name with a text but not a phone call? Also my phone would ring with the ringtone I have but the hands free will ring too but it's just ring, ring.

    My wife's 820 never announces calls, just displays the persons name, when connected to bluetooth.
    It calls out the persons name & the text when there's an incoming text.
    When I connected my mates iPhone to my bluetooth it didn't announce any names or numbers for calls or texts, just displayed the names.

    This depends on the car kit I think. The Parrot kit I had in my last car used its own ringtones regardless. Ditto the Mercedes I currently have as a loan and my own Audi.

    When I was using my iPhone it used my iPhone ringtone. I think it's just a WP8 thing. Probably doesnt transfer the ringtone over.
