I've my NCT this week and just noticed that none of my tyres have e marks on them. The tyres themselves are in good condition. Will the car fail the test or are the E markings a fail advisory?

If there is no e they will not pass it would probably mean they are well over 6 years old.

Go and get a set of part worn they will all have the e mark.

Some tyres only have the E-mark on one side of the tyre so just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. My advice would be not to do anything until after the NCT. Even if it does fail it's a free retest so no problem really.

    ^^
This. If there's a problem with the tyres, you'll just have to go back in for a visual. No charge.
