I really fancy No Nay Never in the 1.30 today.

2/1 at the moment with Bet365 but 5/2 with SkyBet, which i think may look big as i thought NNN would be a bit shorter.
He broke the track record at Royal Ascot lto even though he was slow leaving the gates but made up the ground impressively and then scooted away strongly to win handily.

On a line through Ambiance ,the French favourite Vorda has about a length in hand over NNN. Vorda has looked good winning her Group races but i think NNN could be different gravy here once the ground is decent and im confident that he'll take some stopping.

Prix Morny looks a real tricky race, with the step up in trip for the bulk of them. I had a look at the other Grp 1 and I do remember watching Sarkiyla finish well at ascot lto.

Didn't know Coolmore had purchased him until just before the race. He made them look ordinary. Nice win

Will they send him to Ballydoyle now - that is the question.

An inspired purchase, he's now a very nice stallion prospect even if he never wins another race.

Didn't realise No Nay Never was running and the 5/2 available was a ridiculous price! Great acquisition by Coolmore.

Not Deauville but no point in starting a new thread

    5.20 Pontefract

    Solar Spirit 13/2

I was impressed with the way Tracy Waggott's 8 year old quickened and travelled when winning over 5f at Catterick LTO and I think the handicapper has been kind to put him up only 5lb to a mark of 80. A C+D winner from his 3 year old days, Solar Spirit was successful off this mark last June and was also defied off a 3lb mark by a short head over this track and trip last July in a much better race than this so I definitely feel he's still on a very workable mark. Having bagged the best draw in stall 1, I feel Solar Spirit has a cracking chance with Bary McHugh retaining the successful partnership and I think 13/2 is a price that is too big for Tracy Waggott's charge.

Travelled well but don't think he had the pace to quicken. Thought he'd be ok on the ground as his C+D defeat last year was on a similar surface but I think at 8 he needs some give underfoot.

I'm pretty sure they were involved with him before Ascot happened, I do believe Paul Shanahan, who is one of Magnier's most trusted men in the Coolmore operation, was the owner so you knew he would end up in one of the 3 Coolmore silks!

Spot on! Shanahan and his wife owned it previously.
