Ok not sure if this is an issue or anything but i ve noticed that there seems to be an ongoing trend in the radio forum of new accounts popping up, starting a few threads about RTE Radio and then closing their account within a short time.

Has anyone else noticed it ?

Talking to the forum mods and the Arts Category Mods should be your first step. The former especially may not keep a very close eye on this forum.

What's even more fun is checking the posting history of the persistants who cheerlead for the inexcusable.

It's been going on a good while now:

    New poster comes along
Starts a few threads (usually about RTE)
Closes account after five or so posts.

Really odd. Possibly just a rereg avoiding detection.

The re-reg thing is what im thinking too. Wonder if any of the mods have looked into it at all.

Short of an IP ban (which doesn't work against people who know what they're doing) it's pretty much impossible to catch a rereg before they get a few posts off and close their account. The only ones you can catch very fast are the ones that come on and immediately post porn, because that gets reported immediately and a mod, cmod or admin catches it very quickly. If someone comes on and just makes some vague pro/anti-RTE posts then that's not going to attract a huge amount of notice.

Cheers for the reply. I know there is not a lot you can do but its pretty obivious there are a few re regs with a severe dislike of RTE lol

Make sure you report anything you suspect to be dodgy.
