If I won the lottery, one of those would be the first car on my list. The only trouble would be deciding on the colour, either the interior/exterior of the car featured, or silver with a black roof and black leather.

One we restored last year. New floors, sill repairs, chassis leg repairs, fresh paint, re-dyed the roof, re-dyed the leather, new carpets, complete hidden remote sound system with sub woofers & tweeters. Upgrades to include heated seats, factory air con, parking sensors, 15" wheels, remote central locking/ alarm and many hours of other bits 'n' bobs !

Nice! Is that anthracite grey? What is the sound like from the speakers in doors?

Daysel,Daysel - that's all this country can think about

The car was built as a petrol and should stay that way.
I DID see some LHD original MB diesels from France, but few in any developed country would want the expense of a diesel

There was a W111 with a 250D conversion for sale in Dublin about 10 years ago. I was interested in it and took it for a test drive and it drove surprisingly well. The body was a bit rough though so i declined.

Modern diesel sounds better than an old boring V8.

Mechatronik can do everything. The factory never made a W111 Coupe with a diesel but installing the 5 cyl. 300 W123 engine is straightforward and it actually looks like the original unit too.

...........yes its a period colour for that car, if I recall correctly its DB 172. The door speakers are very good, well secured and I used a decent sound barrier to line the door. To be honest with the bass turned up there are some rattles, but I have parts on order to sort that. Its mainly from the window guides and tracks. There are shelf mounted rear speakers and tweeters, with an amp and subwoofer bass box in the boot. It literally is a mobile disco !
