have one here in under a cattle slatted tank.
fierce handy not having to agitate. just go spread when when the weather is right.

you must used chopped silage though as if cattle drag silage into the tank you will get problems with lumps. So not a good idea if you lots of bales. We use 'some' bales occasionaly and it is ok as they are chopped and we make the cattle reach for the bale rather than sillage falling in next to the feed rail.

like every slurry tank the biggest thing is WATER. you should have at least 2ft of water in the tank before cattle go into shed for aeration. also it is a good idea to be able to divert water from roofs and silage slab when you like so you can ad water simply. They are not a set and forget system and you do need to monitor it infrequently. In a traditional tank fella's just aid the water when they are agitating. For aeration i needs to be added as the tank is filling. The amount of water needed in either system is the same IMO.
