I'm living in Waterford and recently my disability allowance was cut from 188 euros per week down to 115 euros because I receive 500 euros a month from my pension that I get from having worked in England. Are the Social Welfare allowed to do this?

Disability Allowance is means tested, so they take into account all your income. Did you not disclose your 500 euros a month pension income when you applied for the disability allowance?

That shouldn't matter contact local social welfare office they let you know your entitlements. Its means tested. Let sw know of it anyway.

I know that if you working and paid while on da your allowed to earn up to 120euro a week or all together cap off then if earning more you let sw know of that income. Regarding pension shouldn't matter. Write a letter to social welfare. They can get a bit strict on this kind of matter.

Income from a pension is counted € for € in a means test. Sounds all above board to me.
