    So I was looking at bipods for my Savage 12. I was going to get an evo bipod but then looking online I found a mystic precision bipod which is cheaper. What im wondering is am I better off paying extra and getting the evo. I have never heard of mystic precision so advice would be appreciated.

    I've never seen one, but based on reviews and the achievements accomplished using it i'd say it'd be perfect. Brian Fox, of fox firearms, sells them. Brian is a gent and i've dealt with him on multiple occasions for barrels, ammo, etc. Problem is he has suffered a serious of health issues over the last year and i believe (and i really need to confirm this) he is either temporarily or permanently out of business.

    I must stress this is only word of mouth. I have no actual basis other than reports from friends that know Brian and work with him. So ring before ordering anything.

    The Evo is a popular brand and got rave reviews. Ease of use, durability, effectivenss, etc. all top class. As is the price i believe.

    Other brands include;
    • Dolphin Firearm MkII
    • Sinclair MkIII
    • Third Eye Tactical
    • Censhot
    • etc.

    Each have their pros and cons. The biggest problem i've seen with some are they are so light weight that they "bounce" when fired. If you are using a Savage Model 12 (no mods) then you have more than enough room (weight wise) to use any bipod you wish and still make weight.

    Have one, 13oz in weight and an excellant piece of kit. currently using it in 2013 WC in Raton USA. Cannot fault it, also have the Evo. Good luck with whatever you decide to purchase.

    You can purchase directly from Mystic Precision.

    So I contacted third eye tactical a few weeks back to see about buying the evo bipod and can't seem to get anywhere with them hence I was looking at mystic precision. Id prefer to get the evo but iv rang them 2 or 3 times and and get told such and such is unavailable but will ring you tomorrow never hear a word. Has anyone else experienced this or am I just on to the wrong person. If someone has a contact for them it would be appreciated.
