Posting mobile phone Ire to UK??

Hi all,
Sorry if this has been discussed, couldn't find anything on it.

I live in UK and when home for a visit I left my mobile behind.. both UK and Irish ones!

I asked family member to send them over in the post, and they were told that mobile phones are not allowed to be sent in post. They suggested courier which would cost 60 euro!

Does anyone have any experience with this or any recommendation of ways around it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

Personally I'd use GLS Parcel. EG 15x10x10cm box upto 30Kg Dub->London €14.50.

Used them the other week for the first time and was very happy with them. Tracked and signed for.

EDIT : whoa....Just read again and it's a 50kgs limit aboard and 30kgs limit in Ireland...
