Not sure if here or legal discussion is the best place, so mods feel free to move.

Just wondering if AGS keep a record of paid motor tax fines? Ones that were paid on time, not ones that weren't paid and then you got a conviction for not paying.

    Thanks

Thanks. I went into the station yesterday to get some sort of eveidence or print out that i'd paid my fine (from several years ago) and they said they don't keep records of it - only if it is unpaid and becomes a conviction. Guess they just couldn't be bothered helping :(

Writ to the Supt at that station and request payment confirmation in writing. They cannot ignore a written request.

Thanks for that but it's too late now. I wanted to submit it with my citizenship application as proof i'd paid the fine, but i sent my application off yesterday afterrnoon after they said they don't.

Was it a court fine or a FCPS? If court then contact your local court office. If FCPS then contact the fines office on 1890 304060.

FCPS is a fine in the post.

No guard in the public office will print off something they're not authorised to hand to a member of the public. I wouldn't be surprised if the OP would have to go through the trouble of making an application under the Data Protection Act as there's no 'receipt' system outside of when you pay the fine in the post office.
