upgrading pc on a budget !

    hi yall first time in this section i have an older gaming rig that i would like to upgrade in terms of the motherboard cpu and ram i havent alot of money i was thinking of going the amd route with there fx 4100 and 8 gigs of ram (to start out with) i currently have a intel dual core 2.75 ghz (oc) and a 6850 gpu and 4 gigs of ram, i was hoping to do this before battlefield 4 and any other next gen games come out any idea if that would do it ? oh and i currently have a 550 watt psu with xfire/sli support

    How does this look? Good overclocking potential there too. You could probably get about €100 selling your old cpu, ram and board.

    that looks pretty good thanks :) is that site reliable i remember i bought all my stuff off pixmania for my first build ha and another question would my current gpu hold whack at games for another while with these upgrades behind it i spent about 200 on it when it first came out (allot of money for a student)

    Yep we all order from there. You could try amazon to see if it works out any cheaper with free delivery.

    Your gpu should hold up for a while. You could always overclock a bit if you haven't already.

    i already put the 6870 bios in there to unlock it as amd just disable stuff instead of not putting it in there for some reason ha ;)
