Upgrade on Mavic Aksium wheels

Have the above on my bike for over a year and was wondering what the next step up would be to improve performance on the bike in terms of lightness, durability and ultimately speed. Was thinking of the Zondas or would the Mavic Krysiums be worth the investment. Any suggestions appreciated. Would an upgrade to the mentioned wheels improve the speed and performance by much. I have received delivered of a pair of Continental GP4S tyres to replace the stock Victoria Zaffiro tyres on the bike and plan to use these over the Autumn and winter so hope they will make some difference anyway. BTW I dont race atm but will start racing next season

I was thinking of getting a pair of the aktiums for my bottom of the range road bike, did you find them good?

Their grand wheels for starting out racing if thats your thing. Very rigid and have stayed true. Roll well over the roads. Just a little on the heavy side hence the reason I am thinking of upgrading to faster ones

Not thinking of racing, just going longer distances more comfortably. Pm me if you're in dub area and want to get rid of them I'd take them off you.

    Apologies for temporary thread derail.

billyhead - I have Aksiums on the beater (used mainly for commuting) but find that I have to replace loose spokes regularly.

I am also thinking of changing to a wheel set in this price point. What do people advise Zonda or Ksyrium Elite? Thanks
