As title says, looking for an empty hotel to film in for two days in September. It a low / no budget short, so any fee payable would need to be low. Anyone have any ideas?

Link to the film's FB page

    We're based in Westport.

    Previous productions include Covies.

Any thoughts suggestions or possible contacts appreciated. Though please PM contacts.

    Thanks.

I'm sure some of the quieter hotels in the county could accomodate. The marketing and pr potential for filming in their hotel seems irrestible.

Otherwise talk to some of the banks.......:D

I know you said mayo, but today in oughterard we were peering into an amazingly creepy empty hotel, just before the bridge.. Was really amazing inside ... Another suggestion is the likes of lennane.. Small towns whose hotels shut for the winter season...

The hotel in Newport is unoccupied at the moment as far as I know. No idea who you would need to contact about it though.

Since you're in Westport, what about the old Railway Hotel on the North Mall?

The Imperial Hotel also know as Days Hotel right in the heart of Castlebar and overlooking the mall is closed a few years and I think its now owned by the council. Not sure of its state inside but have a look through the windows and I'm sure if you asked they'd let you use it or at least I hope /expect they would.
