    Hi
we did a self build just over 2 years ago and had MDF skirting and architrave fitted. Recently the filler that was used to cover up the nail holes has started swelling and in some cases fallen out. Does anyone know why this would have happened and what the best way of fixing it is?

get some pva (woodglue) brush it over the hole but don't let it pack the hole then let it get sticky not set fully and then put some fresh filler in make sure if its wood filler ur using that it hasn't gone crusty use a fresh bit or if you mixing you own then you should be fine to fill hope this helps
