    Hi,
I'm new to this so please bear with me!
I'm going to do humanities in st pats in drumcondra as an incoming first year (didnt get the points for primary teaching :( ) and the whole experience seems a bit daunting, I was wondering if any body else in the same boat would like to gt in touch??
Also the main reason I joined this is beause I'm stuck on where I should book accommodation!
I anyone has any advice it would really help :) thanks :)

If u take a trip to drumcondra n look at notice boards in shops it'll help...

Was just wondering if you were able to find anything or anywhere would it be possible to let me know? (i'm knew on this website) Big ask I know but I have no clue where to even start looking for accomodation! Thanks :)

I'm also in the same situation, got rejected for on campus accommodation and have no idea what to do now, my knowledge of Drumcondra is very poor

Campus is probably gone at this stage. There is loads of student houses in Drumcondra so getting a share shouldn't be a prob.

Ring a few places and arrange appointments for viewings so you can get a few done in one day. Be careful with deposits, DO NOT hand any over until you sign a lease and read it carefully. Bring ID with you and your PPS and have money on hand for
    1st months deposit.

Don't rush in to anything, make sure your comfortable with the place as you will be there till end of college year. If your stuck,

    rent.ie
    daft.ie
    myhome.ie

I've been searching on daft.ie and rent.ie and I've 2 viewings, but the accommodation isn't as close to the college as it really hoped it would be. Can't seem to find barely any student shares in the Drumcondra area, kinda starting to panic a bit

Don't panic. I know a 15-25 min walk to college would be the norm unless your extremely lucky to get a place on the college doorstep.

Do the viewings and it will give you a fair idea what to expect in terms of rent
and standard of accommodation. ( I know some students would live in a condemned building but it wouldn't be me :P )

In the coming week, keep your eyes peeled online, if you see something that looks good e-mail or phone straight away and try and get a viewing.

    You will be grand, :o
