Cresote mix with diesel ???????????

    Does anyone know how much diesel or is it burned oil to mix
    with cresote for posts and rails Thanks in advance

    Waste oil of any description really but burnt oil would be my preference.

    Don't waste your time and money putting on that stuff, unless you are happy to have to redo it every two or three years.
    Unless you can get 'proper' contractor grade creasote it's not worth the bother. The stuff you'll get from the merchants is either creasote replacement or a thinned down version.
    I'm doing post and rail at the moment (weather permitting) and am using stuff called protectafence. It's jet black and white spirit based and seems to be a proper job.

    €38 for a 15 litre drum.
    Brosna paints in mullingar supply it to different hardware shops so I'd try them direct to see if you could get it a bit better.
