    Lads,

Spent the last few days in Dublin and used the M50 a few times which I paid for. However yesterday i was on part of the M50 but Im not sure if I passed through the Toll area. Heres what I need to know:

Do you get charged only when you pass over where TOLL is painted on the road?

Is there any way to check how many times you passed over it( I want to make sure Im paid up, I was on it yesterday in the real bad rain and didnt see any TOLL marking but then again I wasnt really looking )

If you over pay i.e.. Pay for 3 trips and only have been on 2, can you apply for a refund?

Thanks in advance, Im not from Dublin and tend to only go there when I need to hence Im not 100% familiar to the toll system.

    Darragh

If you drive the section between junctions 6 and 7 (Blanchardstown and Lucan), you get charged. No other parts of the road are tolled.

No, you can't get a refund. The credit will stay on your account until the next time you use the toll.

The only part you get charged is between the Liffey valley turnoff (n4) and the blanchardstown turn off (n3).

I think you can check and pay your toll fees on eflow.
Pay them fast as they will build up.

You can ring them (and stay on hold for 20 minutes) and they will tell you what the story is.

I had to do it before when using a borrowed car with no tag.

You can check online what you owe.

    No you cant.

You can pay for any number of journeys, and you can check what fines are outstanding once you've been issued with the Journey reference, but you can't just check how many times you've been through the toll and how much you owe.

What a **** typical irish way of doing things.

So you can't check online what your bill is?

Sorry op for my wrong advice.

Like the other posters said it's specifically between Blanch and Lucan. ie if you cross the West Link bridge that you need to pay.
If you are an infrequent user you can register for a post-paid/video account on https://csc.eflow.ie/newaccount/newaccount.aspx# on a credit card.
There is no standing charge and it just takes the regular toll (currently 2.60) when you use the bridge. You get emailed a monthly statement too.

    Hi Darragh,

The toll, as previous posters have advised, is located between Junction 6 and Junction 7 on the M50. Every time a car passes through these junctions, the toll is 3.10e and this has to be paid by 8pm the next day.

Tolls can be paid online on www.eflow.ie,over the phone or in a Payzone store. You can also prepay for tolls using theseoptions.

The best way to avoid penalties is to register for a free video account for cheaper tolls and automatic payment.

If you want me to look into anything for you, you can PM me your details and I would be happy to look into any balance for you.

    Regards,
    Maureen
