    Hi Everyone,

We are based in Australia and have been doing some research online which seems to suggest that we might be best stopping over in Dubai and buying our ring there.

Has anyone done this? I have my eye on a Tiffany Legacy ring but the price is just too much. We have a budget of around 10k euro....We are just worried that we would get ripped off.

Does anyone have any info on reputable jewellers in Dubai?

Is there an international diamond certificate that we would need to get also?

    Cheers

We got our wedding rings there. My wife got a 32 diamond wedding ring. I got plain white gold but got a diamond as well.

We are very pleased with them 7 years on. We got a good deal on them.

Make sure you get the rings in the gold souk. And get a receipt with the full description, weight and cut on it.

There is a very small risk. The authority will close a jewellers for any fraud as it jeopardises the whole souk which is big business.

    Hi congrats on the engagement!

With that budget you'll get a excellent deal in Dubai. Go to the Gold and Diamond Park near Mall of the Emirates. Forgot the Gold Souk in Deira. Its not cheaper and you will just have your head wrecked. Cara is the main jewellers in the G&D Park its one of the few that is always busy. Monali is also excellent. All the shops are owned by a few so if you go to one they'll bring you stuff from another so may see the same stuff a lot. Anyway have idea what you want cut and carat mainly clarity too then you can work on cost, bargain and bargain hard, they are used to it. Walk and away and come back if you need too. If you have a tiffany design you like, bring it, they can copy it for a fraction of the cost. Good Luck!
